Preschool and Transition to School Program
Overview
The Early Years Learning Framework is recognised by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) as the fundamental basis of learning for children. As outlined in their ‘Prior to school stage statement’, it guides and supports the development of a foundation for future success.
The Preschool and Transition to School program at MLS is specially designed to provide opportunities for all children, no matter their individual strengths or abilities, to grow and learn in preparation for school. We believe that instilling a curiosity about the world, and a love of learning, is key to creating a positive attitude towards learning in children. We also prioritise social and emotional wellbeing, and independence. We aim to significantly build your child’s confidence and resilience, to equip them for the experiences that lie ahead.
